Turrubares

The Zuñiga family took us to some waterfalls on the Turrubares river. It's about a 40 minute drive from our house. You get there by walking up stream. You have to cross the river a couple of times. Matthew had a little trouble and fell in a couple of times. Luckily he was holding on to a rope.

The first fall is not very high, but has a very nice pool at the bottom for diving into and swimming in. A little farther up the stream is a bigger waterfall. At the top of those falls are some nice wading pools. The water was cool (not cold) and the sun was shinning. It reminded me very much of Hawaii.

We had the whole place to ourselves for several hours. Everyone jumped off the rocks at least once. Matthew had a great time swimming in the pool and didn't want to leave when it was time to go. I put some pictures up on flickr.
