Today is my birthday! I am now 46 years old. We wanted to go to a movie last night, but could not find anything that was appropriate for the whole family. The rating system here is quite different from the US. Sex is acceptable for young people, but violence is not. The temperature does not change much here in Puriscal. So far it has varied a total of 14 degrees Fahrenheit, from a low of 68 to a high of 82. Not too bad. It rains almost every day. The clouds usually start to roll in around 1:00 PM. Continue reading Weather

Costa Ricans are Caring
Today as we were returning home, a man fell out of the back of a bus! It looked like a school bus and it had several sacks of something in the back. The man must have been sitting on the sacks and leaning against the rear door. As the bus began to accelerate up a hill, out he fell. I was amazed and encouraged to witness people run from all directions to assist this poor guy. Continue reading Culture

A Year in Costa Rica
Sunday July 5th, out of the blue, the thought occurred to me that we should move to Costa Rica. I mentioned this to Karen, and to my surprise she did not freak out!
